30 minutes outside of Kingston, our home-based business is located on a 20.5-acre natural environment, which includes our paddlesports shop, boat buildings, and office.
We are looking for an enthusiastic, versatile, self-motivated, and dependable individual to become an integral member of our team from April to September.
Paddlesports expertise is a definite asset. Retail and business skills are to advantage as responsibilities encompass sales, rentals, email and social-based communication, customer relations, and potential paddling instruction. The ability to work within a team is required with an aptitude to prioritize, multi-task, and work well with limited supervision.
Physical demands include heavy lifting (up to 60 lbs), potentially long-hours, and at times difficult weather conditions. Accordingly, the chosen individual must be driven, prepared for diverse weather, and efficient with their time.
Communication and customer service skills are required to satisfy the diverse range of subjects and inquiries associated within our retail and rental environment. A general knowledge of Frontenac Provincial Park including its outdoor activities, geography, and usage fees and policies is beneficial.
Applicants must become thoroughly educated to the merits of our inventory and be able to communicate the information concisely. Our in-depth web and social sites generate sales and requests for information daily. The candidate must be able to respond professionally and accurately.
To maintain our extensive grounds, a maintenance program is in place. The applicant must be competent with both hand and power tools such as lawn mowers, wiper-snipers, and other similar devices.
A valid Ontario driver’s license is mandatory.
Wage & Hour Expectations
Hourly Wage: $15.00 per hour
Hours Weekly: 36 to 40 hours a week
